Crisis Services
Crisis services are available at The Next Door at all times.
Youth in crisis would be those youth who have experienced a sudden loss of shelter and have no viable alternative housing available.
In these situations, Police/Service Agencies or the youth may attend at The Next Door for assistance.
Each case will be assessed individually and outcomes may include; assistance to secure immediate short-term shelter, or temporary admission to The Next Door. All crisis admissions will be reviewed within 24 hours and decisions made as to next steps.
It is expected that Police or Service Provider remain present during the crisis consultation at The Next Door.
In the case of crisis referral from Police/Service Agencies contact should be made by phone at 705-526-8879 prior to attending The Next Door.
In the circumstance that youth in crisis have no support person the youth in crisis may attend The Next Door in person for consultation.
